Darian Smercina is Assistant Director of Discovery and Product Development at Kula Bio, where she and her team work to bring microbial nitrogen-fixing technologies from the lab to practical use on farms. Her experience spans assay development, formulation strategy, and field validation, with a focus on designing stable, scalable products that deliver consistent performance outside the lab. She holds a Ph.D. in Crop and Soil Science from Michigan State University and has worked across academic, national laboratory, and industry research settings.
